National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

September 30 honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.

It is also Orange Shirt Day, created to raise awareness of the intergenerational impacts of residential schools and promote "Every Child Matters". We encourage you to wear orange to honour the thousands of Survivors of residential schools.

We have created two reading lists on our website to help us educate ourselves or teach children about the impact of residential schools in an age-appropriate way.
