Family Literacy Day Teen Writing Competition

It’s time to flex those creative muscles! From January 1–24, teens ages 13–17 are invited to share their original writing for a chance to win. Whether you love fantasy, mystery, or something totally unique, we want to read it!

Submission guidelines:
• Original work only—no AI-generated content.
• Any genre is welcome, but your story must include a library in some way.
• Maximum length: 8,000 words.
• Submissions must be in PDF format.

Winner(s) will be announced in early February.
