Volunteer
WBRL requires volunteers to be 14 years of age or older.
It depends. All long-term volunteers must submit a Criminal Record Check. If a long-term volunteer is over 18 and working with children or seniors, a Vulnerable Sector Check is also required. Special event volunteers do not need a Criminal Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Check.
WBRL pays for all required paperwork.
Many of WBRL's ongoing volunteer positions require a long-term commitment. Volunteers often stay in their positions for a long period of time, resulting in limited openings.
In addition to our ongoing volunteers, we recruit volunteers to assists with special events and programs throughout the year.

WBRL assesses donations for addition to the collection with the same criteria used to select purchased materials. Not all donations are suitable for the collection. Unwanted donations may be sold, donated to another organization, or recycled/disposed of. (As per the WBRL Collection Management Policy)
