Join us throughout October as we loudly and proudly raise awareness of the valuable role libraries play in Canadians' lives. 

Alberta Public Libraries Day of Action: The Librarians Screenings - October 1

Libraries support education, literacy, economic development, innovation, and lifelong learning. They are one of the few public spaces open and accessible to everyone.

This October 1, join us in celebrating the value of Alberta's public libraries during the Alberta Public Libraries Day of Action. This year, libraries across Alberta are coming together for a province-wide screening of the Emmy-award winning documentary, The Librarians (before it hits streaming services!). Join us at one of three screenings: 10:30am, 2pm, or 6pm. Each screening will be followed by a panel discussion with special guests.

Storybook Bash - October 17 & 18

Step right into the pages of your favourite storybook at our Storybook Bash! We invite you to dress as your favourite storybook character and join us for a morning of imagination, creativity, and fun.

Explore a world filled with beloved storybook characters, discover magical surprises, and make some cool storybook-inspired crafts to take home! (Audience: Newborn-6yrs)

Borrow (and Follow) to Win

We're giving our patrons a chance to win an epic Canadian Library Month prize, simply by borrowing items throughout October! Each day you borrow an item with your free library card, you can enter your name in our ballot box at the first floor Service Desk. The more days you borrow, the more chances to win (1 entry per card per day)! Our grand prize includes a Kobo Libra Colour eReader, perfect for borrowing Libby titles with.
