Visiting the Library FAQs

  • Common Spaces

Interested in sharing the beauty of your art with the public?  Display space for local artists is available by prebooking space in our Moberly Conversation Lounge.  Exhibits are displayed on a monthly basis on a first booked, first served basis.  Individuals or organizations wishing to book display space, or for further details, please contact the Information Services Manager (780-743-7036) or ServiceDesk@wbrl.ca for more information. Space may be booked twice annually in non-consecutive months at no cost to the artist.

Soft seating and multiple study tables allow for groups to utilize the space.  The space also includes a large movie screen, PS4 (bookable at the Service Desk on a walk in basis) and 4 desktop computers.  The space is designated for teens after 3 pm weekdays and on weekends.
    • Suncor Corner - Here you'll find board books and easy readers perfect for little ones at just the right height, as well as comfy seating.
    • Indigenous Cultural Corner - This space is for people of all ages to gain a deeper appreciation and understanding of Indigenous history and culture and houses WBRL's First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Collection.

We also have chairs and tables and soft seating for patrons to use throughout the library.
